Since moving to the Ross Valley in 1993, I have worked to bring about progressive change. It has been a joy to have my 12 year old daughter in Fairfax schools for the last 10 years. I am dedicated to preserving the quality of community that got Fairfax voted the Best Town in Marin.

For five years, I have served as Director of Sustainable Fairfax, organizing and educating the people of Fairfax to increase the resilience of our environment, economy, and community. I have learned to operate this business within a modest budget. In partnering with the Town, I have gained invaluable insight into the workings of the Fairfax government.

I have also served as President of the Marin Master Gardeners, worked for the Marin Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program, and sat on the DayCaring Preschool board. Prior to that, I was the Emergency Services Director of the American Red Cross in La Crosse, Wisconsin, worked for Marin and Contra Costa Rape Crisis Center and the Minneapolis City Attorneys Office as a crime victim liaison.

• We must support our local businesses while encouraging sustainable downtown improvements, without raising the height and story limits
• Similarly, the integrity of our neighborhoods must be preserved and improved for walking and biking while allowing reasonable enhancement of homes for growing families
• We must be prepared and fund the services our town has come to expect, including keeping our Police Station and Firehouse staffed 24/7

I know that we can accomplish these goals while protecting our natural resources, strengthening our economy and fostering community. I will be a reasonable, thoughtful, and accessible representative of the people of Fairfax.
